To loosely quote the “Wolf of Wall Street,” Frank Ragnow is not freaking leaving Motown.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported Thursday morning that Ragnow and the Detroit Lions agreed to a four-year extension worth $70M. The deal makes Ragnow the highest-paid Center in the NFL. Ragnow had two years left on his contract with the Lions.
Last season, Ragnow made his first Pro Bowl, along with earning All-Pro honors. The Lions drafted him in 2018 with the 20th overall pick. He’s started and played in 45 games during his time in Detroit, only missing three games.
NFL’s Network’s Mike Garafolo reports that Ragnow will receive $25.5M fully guaranteed at signing, with $42M total in guarantees. With the new deal, he’ll earn $13.5M per year.
