Justin Verlander is pretty much liked around the MLB. He’s had a pretty quiet career when it comes to off field incidents.
It appears as if the Philadelphia fans have pushed him a little too far.
In a video taken when Verlander gets off the bus, you can see him give the single finger salute to all of Philly.
Oh hey, here’s @JustinVerlander entering the Citizens Bank Park for Game 3 of the World Series and flipping the bird to Phillies fans not once but TWICE. #GoPhillies #GoPhils #Philly #Philadelphia #Phillies @barstoolsports @BarstoolPhilly @NBCPhiladelphia pic.twitter.com/K1BByHAorY

As you can see he starts out with a thumbs up hand gesture. Which quickly turns into the middle finger. Justin Verlander had a smile on his face the whole time so it kind of takes the sting off but the visual is still the same.
The World Series is tied 1-1 right now. Verlander had a solid outing for 4 innings in Game 1. But then the Phillies were able to get to the Houston Ace. Houston dropped game 5-6. The Astro’s bounced back in game 2 to even the series.
Verlander should get another start in the Word Series. Hopefully this doesn’t become club house motivation for the Phillies. But like I said it looked like it was all in good fun.
