Verlander who started his career here in Detroit could potentially make a return to the Motor City.
During the offseason last year Justin’s brother, Ben Verlander, hinted towards Justin missing Detroit.
There were also rumors that Detroit wanted to bring him back last year, but Verlander shot them down.
“It was not explored last offseason, the Tigers never really reached out,” Verlander said “I felt like they understood that they really weren’t in a place for me yet. Maybe, I don’t know. I never asked, but it never really came up.”
Hopefully the Tigers reach out this time around. The Detroit Tigers are in the total rebuild after firing Al Avila this year. They have brought in a totally new front office and are clearing house on scouts.
If I’m Chris Illtich I’m calling Justin now and giving him a blank check. You will make every dollar you spend on him back in attendance and buzz alone. Its about as easy of a business decision as you can make.
