The wait for Jameson Williams to take the field for the Detroit Lions is soon coming to an end.

During Wednesday’s practice we got our first look at the rookie going full speed.  Speed being the operative word. He just looks different on film. Faster, smoother and quicker than everyone else on the field.

The time table for Jameson’s return is still fuzzy. Dan Campbell spoke earlier this week saying getting him on the field vs Jacksonville this Sunday was a “tall order”.

So do not expect Jameson Williams catching TD’s at Ford Field this Sunday.  Perhaps next weekend we will all get to see why the Detroit Lions used assets to trade up to #12 in this years NFL Draft to get the WR.

Jameson had an explosive college career and was seen as the most talent WR to come out of this years draft before his ACL and MCL tore in the College Football Playoffs.

The Detroit Lions currently have the #8 offense in the NFL.  Adding a talent like Jameson must make coach Dan Campbell and QB Jared Goff foam at the mouth.  But the Lions have been very cautious with the return of the game changer.

The Lions are in “Playoff Contention” after going 3-1 in their last 4 games.  The stretch run is here and hopefully Jamo will be able to contribute like Brad Holmes had envisioned on draft night.
