After submitting Alex Perez in under 3 minutes at UFC 255 on Saturday, Figueiredo is ready to get right back into octagon and face Brandon Moreno on December 12th at UFC 256. Both parties have agreed to fight for the 125lb belt and Dana White approves.
21-Day Turnaround For UFC 256 Would Set Record
Both fighters finishing their fights on Saturday creates history not only in the Flyweight division but in the UFC. If Deiveson Figueiredo and Brandon Moreno do fight on December 12th it will be the quickest turnaround for a title-fight in UFC history. Dana White stated during the post fight press conference that both fighters have agreed to fight at UFC 256.
“We’re going to keep Figueiredo here. He’s not going back to Brazil. We’re going to turn him right around in December. That’s what we’re working on.”
