Another week of Fantasy Football, another collection of major injuries. The Waiver Wire is more important than ever this NFL season. Here are Anson’s pics.

Week 8’s fallen include George Kittle, Kenny Golladay, Jimmy Garappolo and Darrell Henderson. Each one of their injuries opens up a major door for a new addition to your roster. Week 8 Fantasy Football was a rough one. My apologies…just keep an eye on the injury updates leading up to game time. Things literally change by the hour in 2020. Here is a look at the Top Waiver Wire grabs.

QUARTERBACKS Fantasy Football

Drew Locke QB – Denver

The Denver offense seems to be putting things together just in time for the second half of the season. A solid running game, solid receiver play and two legitimate Tight Ends have paved the way for an exciting second half for the second year signal caller. He also has a tasty match-up with Atlanta in Week 9.

Cam Newton QB – NE

Another great week 9 match-up is in store for my other QB pick of the week. Cam gets the 0-8 Jets. I don’t love him long term but if you need a one week starter, Cam is available in more than 50% of leagues.

Last Week’s Fantasy Football Waiver Picks…. My apologies. Tua might be the next Tebow…plenty of wins, no stats
Tua Tagovailoa – 93/1/0 and a lost fumble   F
Baker Mayfield – 122/0/0   F

RUNNING BACKS

Zach Moss RB – BUF

I think it’s about time to start scooping the rookie up off of your waiver wires. He put up 81 years on 5.8 yards per carry, along with two trips to the end zone. The Bills will focus on their run game as the playoffs near. The rookie looks to be a big part of those plans. He is 35% owned currently…don’t miss out on a guy that could be winning fantasy league 2 months from now.

Damien Harris RB – NE

I have a hard time ever recommending a Patriot’s running back…you literally never know who is gonna run the rock week to week in New England. That being said, I love Damien Harris. Love his college profile. Loved his game on Sunday. I think there is a lot more like on the way as well. Or Rex Burkhead goes off for 122 and 3 TD’s. Buyer beware.

Cam Akers/Malcolm Brown RB – LAR

Darrell Henderson left Sunday’s game and we are still waiting on news regarding the severity of the injury. That opens the door for Brown and rookie Cam Akers. I love Akers and I know he will get his chance at some point this season. Week 9 might be a little early to grab him and it’s certainly too early to start him. Your chance to own him is gonna dry up quick if you wait much onger. If you have the space, grab him and be patient. Start Brown this week if you have both.

WIDE RECEIVERS

Marvin Jones WR – DET

Kenny Golladay exited before recording a catch Sunday, and Marvin Jones promptly caught 2 touchdowns afterwards. Expect more of the same if Golladay is out for multiple weeks. Jones isn’t gonna be a target monster, but he will be their main red zone weapon and should be good for 5/75 and a touch most weeks.

Jalen Reagor WR – PHL

The rookie returned from injury to the tune of 3/16/1 with a 6 yard carry. Not an amazing line, but things will only improve from here. Personally, I think he takes over as the number 1 target in Philly without Ertz. Travis Fulgham stands in his way. A very movable object.

TIGHT ENDS

Jordan Reed/Ross Dwelley TE – SF

Mighty George Kittle is out…possibly for the season. The 49ers run their offense through the TE…that hasn’t changed no matter who is under center. If Jordan Reed can stay healthy, he is the preferred pickup. Either way, one of these two will be important in fantasy for the second half of the season

Dalton Schultz TE – DAL

Quarterback changes directly correlate to a reallocation of targets. In this case, 3rd string QB Ben DiNucci seems to favor Dalton Shultz in the passing game. There isn’t much out there at this point…Schutlz should be able to provide TE2 value the rest of the way.

Last Week’s Fantasy Football Waiver Picks…. Where have all the tight ends gone? Trey Burton 3/6 with a TD carry  C- Richard Rogers 0/0 I hope you kept an eye on Goedart
