Steve Nash is a head coach in the NBA. Former Detroit Piston, Chauncey Billups the next ALL Star Point Guard to try his hat at being the leader of a franchise.

Earlier in the week Chauncey Billups (Detroit Pistons 2002-2008) made a comment on his NBA Hall of Fame snub. Well, one solution to getting in as a player is to add to the resume. How do you do that as a retired player? Become a coach!

Look at Phil Jackson. His Coaching career is more notable than his playing days. Could Chauncey Billups be the next Zen Master? Time will tell, but according to some sources the former Piston PG is throwing his hat in the ring.

First Time Head Coach

When the news was announced that Steve Nash is the new head-coach of the Brooklyn Nets, I was shocked. I loved Nash as a player. But having ZERO coaching history makes him a very odd hire. The same would be said if, and when, Chauncey Billups gets a job.

Obviously both have incredibility high basketball IQ’s. I don’t doubt that they know the game and are great leaders of men. It will be interesting to watch all of this play out.
