Israel Adesanya is once again making UFC history. The Middleweight champ is now the first fighter in UFC history to be sponsored by Puma. Adesanya will represent Puma’s Oceania division and will be a part of the shoe company’s global marketing plans.
The multi-year deal with Puma will be a shoe and apparel deal. General manager of Puma Oceania, Pancho Gutstein had this to say about the new deal with Adesanya…
“We’re ecstatic to be welcoming one of New Zealand’s most acclaimed athletes to the Puma family. Not only is Israel a fearless and incredibly talented athlete, but his passion for dancing, fashion, anime, and his memorable personality makes him a standout individual to represent the brand.”

Adesanya is set to put his UFC Middleweight title on the line at UFC 253 on September 26th against undefeated fighter Paulo Costa. Adesanya is currently 19-0 while Costa holds a record of 13-0. Dana White has stated multiple times during interview that this will be the fight of the year. Lets hope it is nothing like Adesanya vs Romero.
UFC 253 will also feature a showdown between Dominick Reyes and Jan Błachowicz for the vacant Light Heavyweight title.
