“A three-peat or a first by the Lions? Which is more likely to happen?”

The most noise to filter from the NFL in the weeks following the Super Bowl came out of Kansas City and Detroit.

The Chiefs, after winning their second consecutive Super Bowl over the San Francisco 49ers, has been to three peat. After getting a taste of championship week where he lost to the Niners, Lions Coach Dan Campbell barked to his team that the Lions are going to the Super Bowl next season.

Neither feat has happened. No NFL team has won three consecutive Super Bowls. The Lions have never been there.

So my question to you today is what is more likely to happen?

Of course both could happen. The Chiefs could three-peat by beating the Lions in Super Bowl LIX in New Orleans.

Las Vegas is saying that neither will happen. The 49ers are favorites to win next year’s Super Bowl. The Chiefs are second, which could lead to a rematch between the teams. The Lions are given fourth best odds and appear destined for another NFC Championship showdown against San Francisco.

The Chiefs have a tougher road to get their because they must navigate by the Killer Bs – The Bengals, Bills and Baltimore. But what about the Browns, you say? I just don’t believe that organization has a championship run in it.

The Lions must battle the young upcoming teams in an improving NFC North. However, there are questions throughout the division. Do the Chicago Bears move on from quarterback Justin Fields? Does quarterback Kirk Cousins, who was having a career year before an Achilles injury side lined him, stay with the Minnesota Vikings or take his talents to Atlanta?

After winning seven of their last 10 games, are the Green Bay Packers poised to take their crown back as Kings of the North?
