Anthony Dirrell Talks Title Shots, Possible UFC Run, and More

On this episode of The Art Of Combat Podcast Flint native Anthony Dirrell joins the show to talk training in 2020, fighting for the belt in 2021, the possibility of fighting in the UFC one day, and more! The 2-Time WBC Super Middleweight Champ is 33-2 in his boxing career with 24 wins by knockout. Anthony wants another shot at the title in 2021 after losing the WBC belt to David Benavidez in September 2019. Although Anthony is 36 years old, Dirrel says he’s ready for another shot at the WBC title.

Anthony is not only a professional boxer, but he’s also a cancer survivor. Dirrell battled non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma in 2006 and beat cancer. Also, he not only beat cancer, but returned to boxing to win the title after his battle with cancer. Now Dirrell uses his platform to help his city and build his community.
