#7 ranked UFC Bantamweight Jose Aldo knew exactly who he wants to fight next after defeating Marlon Chito Vera at UFC Vegas 17. Aldo improved his record to 29-7 on Saturday night and used his post fight interview to call out former champ TJ Dillashaw.
Aldo Willing To Look Past Dillashaw Suspension
TJ Dillashaw will be eligible to return to the octagon in late January after serving a two year suspension for failing a drug test. Although Dillashaw did cheat Aldo is willing to look past that for a shot at the former champ.
“Dillashaw will be a very good test for myself because he’s very good on his feet and I like his style standing up so it’s going to be a good test. I see him for his qualities. I see him as a champion and everything he did in the Octagon. He just made a mistake.”

TJ Dillashaw chose to not call out anyone in particular but tweet out a response to the entire division…
Although Dillashaw is a former champ, he shouldn’t come in after a two year suspension and fight for the belt. There are contenders like Sandhagen, Sterling, and others that deserve the shot and haven’t cheated. I think Aldo vs Dillashaw is a perfect match up for both fighters. Sure, Dillashaw is a former champ, but this is a great test to see where TJ stands in the Bantamweight division. Also, it shows if Aldo can hang with the best after going 0-3 against Yan, Moraes, and Volkanovski.
