The MSU 2023 recruiting class slowly fell apart as the season went on, but the Spartans could lock up their class today on National Signing Day. At the moment, the Spartans have signed from 9 four stars and 6 three stars, according to 24/7 sports. Some highlights of the class include guys like Bai Jobe, Andrew Depaepe, Jordan Hall, and Sam Leavitt. Let’s break down some guys the Spartans could land.

Keyshawn Blackstock is a 6-5 315 RT that is the number one OL JUCO transfer in the country. Blackstock comes from Coffeyville C.C. and should be a key piece on the Spartans for this upcoming season. Coach Mel Tucker said he’s a nasty blocker and can make an immediate impact.
The biggest impact for Michigan State were the guys they could get on the pass rush. Bai Jobe leads the charge as a 4-star Edge from Norman, Oklahoma. The kid is 6-4 and 230 pounds, headed into college with one of the best pass rushing coaches in the country in Coach Brandon Jordan. Jobe has already added 15 pounds this season and is very fluid with a lot of potential. I fully expect him to be a force for MSU his entire time as a Spartan.
Another big get for the Spartans was Andrew Depaepe as a DL that’s 6-5 and 250 pounds from Pleasant Valley. Depaepe is very versatile and can play a couple different places. According to Allen Trieu, “Depaepe gets off the ball quickly, shows the agility to bend the corner, does a nice job with his hands as a pass rusher and can get to the quarterback.” There’s a lot of potential with him in a Spartan uniform.
Tunmise Adeleye is the former OSU commit and transfer from Texas A&M that announced his commitment to MSU today. DE Tunmise Adeleye is “a physical player, outstanding pass rusher,” said Tucker, “He’s one of those guys who comes in ready to play.” With his addition as well, it just adds yet another piece for Coach Jordan to work with.
Jordan Hall is a LB from IMG Academy and a 4-star signee who will enroll in January. Tucker said, “Hall is a true leader on the field, a get-you-lined up guy who directs traffic and takes charge.” Hall’s mother Cyreeta Hall has been a big supporter of MSU on social media, and their family seems really excited about Jordan heading to East Lansing.

Sam Leavitt is the QB signee that Michigan State landed after not being able to get Dante Moore. Leavitt 4-star is 6-1 and 185 pounds from West Linn, Oregon, who flipped from Washington State. In Leavitt’s senior season, he threw for 3,065 yards and 5 touchdowns. He completed 70 percent of his passes and rushed for 720 yards with 8 touchdowns. The Dual-Threat QB’s patience, confidence, and decision-making will be a welcomed additon. We’ll see if or when Leavitt will get his chance to play in the Green and White.
Jalen Thompson, Stanton Ramil, Brennan Parachek, and Cole Dellinger are all 4-stars in this class and are great signings for MSU as well.
