We are officially just one week away from the Rocket Mortgage Classic at Detroit Golf Club and Detroiters are getting fired up for the annual event! The PGA Tour is back in Detroit for a third straight and it is poised for its best field yet. Max Homa, Zach Johnson, Will Zalatoris, and Patrick Cantlay are among the players already committed to the event. The field will be finalized Friday at 5 p.m. We could be in for a special last-second addition as well!

If you have not experienced The Classic yet, it is a MUST-do of the summer. Detroit Golf Club and Rocket Mortgage have a plethora of events going on the entire week of the event. The Wednesday Pro-AM is always a highlight of the week as local celebrities and athletes join in on the action and try to showcase their golf talents.
PGA TOUR players participating include; Will Zalatoris, Tony Finau, Jason Day, Justin Rose, Rickie Fowler and Matt Kuchar.

Celebs will be Barry Sanders, Tom Izzo, Calvin Johnson, Dylan Larkin, Maurice Allen, and Kelley James.
Additionally, the Area 313 Celebrity Scramble takes place after the Pro-Am on Wednesday and it really tests former legends from various sports. Detroit greats like Barry Sanders and Henrik Zetterberg are former participants of this fun event that all raises money for charities in Detroit. Honestly, you never know who you will run into wandering around Detroit Golf Club. That’s another part of the fun while enjoying days of beautiful golf.
