UFC President Dana White announced on all social media that the companies superstar is returning. Former double champion Conor McGregor will face off against the #5 ranked lightweight Michael Chandler.

The Ultimate Fighter
Before McGregor and Chandler face off in the octagon, two will be set as coaches for Dana White’s Ultimate Fighter series. Season 31 will premiere on May 30th and run through August 15th on ESPN.
This will be McGregor’s second time being the face of a team on The Ultimate Fighter. Team Conor was a part of season 22 of TUF where he faced off against Hall of Famer Urijah Faber. Season 22 consisted of many iconic moments, from funny trash talk to exciting fights.
Conor McGregor vs Michael Chandler
The date and location are not confirmed yet, but will take place at the end of season 31.
Conor McGregor is making a return almost two years after breaking his left tibia against lightweight Dustin Poirier. McGregor has only won one fight since 2016 but is still eyeing a title shot in the future.
On the other hand, Michael Chandler has been active and is one of the most exciting fighters in the UFC. Although he only has two wins in the UFC, every UFC fight that involved Michael Chandler was electrifying.

Additionally, Michael Chandler has been calling for this fight for almost a year now. Following his brutal KO over Tony Ferguson, Chandler took the microphone from Joe Rogan and made one of the most memorable call-outs in UFC history.
