The Chiefs drafted Kelce in the third round of the 2013 NFL Draft, and he has since established himself as one of the best tight ends to ever play the game. He earned four first-team All-Pro selections and eight Pro Bowl selections. Kelce’s athleticism, size, and versatility make him a difficult matchup for defenses. He is also known for his passion and energy on and off the field, making him a fan favorite in Kansas City. Kelce is active in the community and involved in various charitable endeavors, which have earned him recognition, including the 2018 Walter Payton Man of the Year Award.
Regular Season Impact
The Kansas City Chiefs entered the 2022 season without their star wide receiver, Tyreek Hill. Hill impacted the Chief’s offense by opening up other receivers, including Kelce.
Travis Kelce heads to the Super Bowl capping off yet another incredible season. Once again, the Chief’s tight end is leading all NFL tight ends with 110 receptions and 1,338 receiving yards. On top of that, Kelce ranked second in receiving touchdowns with 12. The only other player with more was Las Vegas Raiders receiver Davante Adams.
Travis Kelce has his 32nd career game with 100 Rec yds, tying Rob Gronkowski for the most such games by a tight end in NFL history.
