Red Wings Drop 6 Straight Games
The Red Wings went into Edmonton last night looking to break their 5 game losing streak. Despite going down 3-0 early Detroit showed heart while continuing to battle putting up a valid comeback effort only to fall short again. Although you love to see the effort of some players on this team we need a change. We’ve been outscored 29-15 in now what is a 6 game skid been completely dominated in this stretch. There has been clear frustration with Red Wings Captain Dylan Larkin within the past few weeks and frankly I can’t blame him.
Fire Blashill?
In now his 7th season as the Red Wings Head Coach Jeff Blashill has a record of 196-250-69 with the team. Although he has gone through the growing pains and rebuilding stages with this team. I believe it is time for Detroit to move on from Blashill. The effort put forth along with the quality hockey that we’ve seen since the All Star break is unacceptable. Zero adjustments have been made each night continues to look more and more alike. The confidence of a young core slowly trimming away while our head coach looks clueless behind the bench with zero emotion shown. Yzerman needs to make this move happen sooner rather than later before team morale is completely in the dumps.
Lucas Raymond scored to boost his 2021-22 totals to 19-27—46 (60 GP) – the most by a @DetroitRedWings rookie in a single season since Nicklas Lidstrom (11-49—60 in 80 GP) in 1991-92.#NHLStats: https://t.co/VO6q4Y2RlA pic.twitter.com/XuUiLXK7eB

Raymond Stays Hot
Despite the recent struggles of the team, Detroit’s golden child Lucas Raymond continues to find the back of the net. Tallying 6 goals in the last 8 games along with an assist. Given the rough patch this team has been going through, for Lucas to stay on top of his game and produce for this team is something all Detroit fans can be happy about.
