Here in the Motor City we all know the saying “Detroit Vs Everybody.” It comes from knowing that outsiders just don’t understand what we have. Micah Parsons is the latest installment of people who run their mouth without knowing our city.
Lions WR Amon-Ra St. Brown has been making it known that if Jalen Ramsey is released he should consider Detroit.
“Jalen, if you can hear this, I know you played with [Jared] Goff before. Detroit might seem like a landing spot, my guy. Talk to me, talk to me.” St. Brown said on his podcast.
Seems like a simple enough statement. It wasn’t boastful, wasn’t cocky, just letting Ramsey know he would be welcomed in Detroit.
Well of course someone with an ignorant opinion on Detroit had to speak up. Normally its some nerd with twitter fingers in his mom’s basement talking. But this time Micah Parsons decided to play the role of clown.
“I’m sorry no one going from la to Detroit” Micah Parsons tweeted out.

Micah Parsons has been the cause for a lot of debate here at Woodward Sports. Myself and Tom Mazaway always go back and forth on Penei Sewell being the right pick for the Detroit Lions. Maz thinks Parsons would have been the better pick. I believe Sewell will make the Lions a Super Bowl contender and is a Hall of Fame player.
Not to discredit Parsons and his on field ability, but Sewell makes the Lions O-Line a machine. Parsons would be a nice player on a bad defense. Pretty simple logic if you ask me. But you can debate that for yourself.
I think after seeing this tweet my case for Sewell being the right guy for Detroit becomes even stronger. Penei has embraced the city. He went toe to toe with Aaron Donald his rookie year. He has shown the attitude, toughness and GRIT that Dan Campbell looks for in all his players.
Thank Brad Holmes we didn’t get stuck with a Diva player who doesn’t understand Detroit and its culture. As a a matter of fact, Dallas is the perfect spot for a guy like Parsons. All you have to be is flashy and never produce. He is him.
