MSU Alum, Mat Ishbia , is showing interest in buying the Washington Commanders.
“The NFL is a great league and Washington is one of the elite franchises,” Mat Ishbia said Friday in a statement. “I am interested in exploring this opportunity further in the very near future.”
Ishbia was trying to get into the exclusive NFL Owners club earlier this year when he tried to buy the Denver Broncos.
According to Forbes Mat Ishbia is worth about $4.6 billion. Forbes values the Washington Commanders at $5.6 billion, which is nearly $1 billion more than the Denver Broncos recently sold for.
It would be great for Ishbia to get a team. But I’m also hearing rumors he is interest in the Detroit Pistons.
We will keep you up-to-date with all the details of both team purchases.
