The Detroit Lions have placed quarterback Matthew Stafford on the reserve/COVID-19 list. Stafford will now have to stay on the list until he is medically cleared to return to the team.

Matthew Stafford is the first starting QB in the NFL to be put on this list. Although he’s had his fair share of injuries, Stafford has been a leader and somewhat of an iron man during his NFL career.

Stafford can be activated off the list once he receives medical clearance. Unlike the standard injured reserve, there is no specified time frame for to return.
