Kelly Stafford, the wife of Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford, stopped by the Woodward Sports studio Thursday afternoon. And her goal is to make Christmas memorable for hundreds of kids.
There’s an adage about the Christmas season being the time to be jolly, and Kelly Stafford did not miss the memo.
Thursday afternoon after the Baligian and Bell show aired, Stafford stopped by the Woodward Sports studio to donate nearly $10,000 worth of toys.
All week long, Joey, Stick, and Krissy from The Morning Woodward Show have camped out in the WSN studio to collect toys around the clock for Stuff-A-Studio. Due to COVID-19, many hospitals and organizations had their funding reduced. Some of those locations are C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital, Ronald McDonald House Charities, Wish Upon A Teen, and the Salvation Army.
Stafford stopped by the WSN studio early in the week to greet the crew. She made a vow to come back to the studio with a significant contribution.
And she kept her word.
Stafford made a trip to Meijer in Royal Oak and went on an epic shopping spree.
Along with that, she loaded up the Uhaul with all of the gifts. And then she personally drove it to Woodward Sports herself.
COVID-19 has affected many children this holiday season. It’s great to see people in the community like the Staffords giving back, as they always do.
