Ever since the Washington Commanders announced that they are looking for potential buyers two names have been mentioned at the top of the list. Sean “Jay Z” Carter and Jeff “Amazon” Bezos have been mentioned as potential suitors.
The story got a little more credibility after Jay Z and Jeff Bezos were spotted at dinner together. Carter and Bezos were seen at Horses near the Sunset Strip at around 7:30 PM.
What the two billionaires were discussing at dinner is unknown. But, one can assume it had to do with the NFL franchise purchase. Instead of them competing to buy it, maybe a partnership will form.
Jeff Bezos & Jay Z had a private meeting last night in L.A. to talk about a Washington Commanders partnership — had dinner together at a restaurant that opened just for them. Lasted over 2 hours. Security like the president was inside. #NFL pic.twitter.com/dmygedeyHw

Michael J Babcock tweeted out that the restaurant opened just for the two moguls and lasted about 2 hours.
Jay Z was once a minority owner of the Brooklyn Nets so he does have some familiarity with the sports franchise world. He later sold his shares to Jason Kidd.
According to Bleacher Report “Jay Z played a key role in the rebranding of the franchise as it made the transition from New Jersey to Brooklyn and overhauled its look. The Post states he also helped the team appeal to players as it was attempting to develop into a title contender.”
These two combined could pretty much buy anything that they want. So I’m sure if this is on their radar they will prevail. Even if it means the Mat Ishbia misses out. But I think he may be more interested in buying a local franchise.
