Yahoo Sports Chris Haynes came out with an article on an interview he had with Jalen Green. Green was selected second overall by the Houston Rockets. The Detroit Pistons were interested in Green, but ended up drafting Cade Cunningham instead.

The article done by Hayes is all about Green’s journey to the NBA. But, the the ending of the article is causing drama with Detroiters. 

Before the draft, Green talked about how he wanted to live in Detroit and play for the Pistons. 

But in the article that was released today, he legit flipped flopped and was talking trash about the city of Detroit.

Takeaway

Jalen Green never cared about the city of Detroit and helping restore the Pistons. His true motivation for him was to brag about being the number one pick. Green only cares about himself and what is best for his career. He is a true definition of all about me and not about the team.

The Detroit Piston’s number one overall pick Cade Cunningham is the complete opposite. He is all about the team and never about himself as a player. What’s been great about Cunningham is that he embraces being a Piston and the city of Detroit. From him wearing the buff sunglasses on draft night to him referencing the Bad Boys and the 04′ Pistons. Cunningham’s love for Detroit is what we want in the city.

Green can talk all he wants and be on highlight reels every night. But at the end of the day, Cunningham will produce wins for the Pistons and the city of Detroit.
