The Detroit Lions (1-3) are coming off their bye-week with a match against the Jacksonville Jaguars (1-4). If the Lions have any hope of fighting for the wild card spot this season, they MUST win.
All or Nothing: Detroit Lions
This hasn’t been the start to the season that Lions’ fans have hoped for. Having held leads in every game this season, the Lions have managed to blow all but 1 of their leads away. Boasting a 1-3 record with 0 Wins and 2 Losses in the division. During the Bye we gave our quarterly Report Card for the Detroit Lions.
There really is no hope for Detroit to make any sort of push for the final wild card spot if they don’t win in Jacksonville on Sunday. With Detroit’s upcoming schedule being one of the leagues easiest, Detroit arguably could be favored in their next 4 to 5 games. Will they put together a run and save Patricia’s job? or will they fall on their faces as we’ve become accustomed to under the Patricia era.
Will the Patricia Defense finally Show Up?
Two weeks of preparation for this below-average Jacksonville offense. It would be a huge disappointment if the Lions didn’t come out flying on both sides of the ball. Having said that, Detroit fans shouldn’t expect anything from this defense.
It would just lead to disappointment regardless of the result. Detroit’s defense must do three things well on Sunday if they want to win:
1. Put Pressure on the Quarterback
2. Force Turnovers
3. “Bend but don’t Break” Mentality for 60 Minutes
Prediction: Detroit Lions 34-16 Jacksonville Jaguars
