To say Detroit Lions’ fans were excited about Ben Johnson coming back is an understatement.
When Tom Pelissero of NFL Network announced that Lions offensive coordinator Ben Johnson was returning to Detroit, the reaction on social media felt like a giant party in the streets. The Heavyweights, who among the shows on Woodward Sports the loudest supporters of Johnson, got “animated”.
WE AINT GOT AN OUNCE OF SLEEP SINCE WE HEARD THE LIONS ARE WINNING THE NFC NORTH! I mean since Ben Johnson said he’s coming back. Same shit though! #OnePride pic.twitter.com/HjJU6OKGPw

Woodward Sports contributor Booner make a proclamation about Ben Johnson in 2023 with the offense.
Ben Johnson is staying in Detroit and I tried telling y’all on the @WHWPod earlier this week…

Adham from the Morning Show was stoked to hear about the return of Johnson.
Ben Johnson was never turning down the chance to coach a Top 5 Offense for a complete rebuild with no Quarterback.
Glad you’re staying in Detroit. #OnePride

I said it weeks ago that if Sheila Ford could find a way to keep Ben Johnson, it’d be another data point that she is not her mother. She’s serious about winning and building this culture from the ground up. I think she truly feels what it’s like to be a modern day Lions fan. pic.twitter.com/UJeZhs6HVA

It’s safe to say that Lions fans are already wishing that the 2023 season would start already.
