As soon as I saw this woman give Conor McGregor the bird on Saturday night, I knew my next article had to be about her. Jolie Poirier, the wife of MMA lightweight Dustin Poirier, is certainly an icon in my book. 

Jolie, for WEEKS, had been dragged into her husband and McGregor’s beef. I have to give her props-as if her husband absolutely demolishing McGregor in the first round- and him breaking his own left tibia wasn’t enough, Jolie left us with the perfect amount of trolling.

Thursday, two days before UFC 264, McGregor tweeted this, which I will not repeat, about Jolie. 

McGregor also took some low blows (shocking) during the press conference leading up to UFC 264 by repeatedly referring to Dustin as “Jolie’s wife”. 

In McGregor’s post-fight interview with Joe Rogan, he yelled “Your wife is in my DMs. Hey baby, hit me back up and I’ll chat to you later on. We’ll be having an afterparty at the Wynn nightclub baby.” I mean, the dude just doesn’t stop.

McGregor and Poirier then went on what is being called a “tweet and delete” spree Monday. Of course, Jolie was brought up…again. You can see the deleted tweets here.

Jolie got the last laugh

She reposted a photo of her giving McGregor the middle finger while he was down in the octagon on her Instagram. If I were her, I’d probably have taken this a step further and come out with some crazy long post attacking McGregor, but Jolie kept it simple. Much respect to her for that!

I wish I could say that I think McGregor is going to leave Jolie alone after this, but the odds aren’t in her favor. McGregor is calling for a FOURTH fight between him and Poirier. He’ll have to get over his injury first, but if it happens, I’m sure Jolie will be dragged into the mix (sigh).
