Last weekend, I had the pleasure of attending my very first Motor City Rockers game at the Big Boy Arena in Fraser, Michigan. It was an exhilarating experience, and needless to say, I can’t wait to go back.
The Rockers faced off against the Port Huron Prowlers in the highly anticipated Battle of I-94, and came out victorious in both games played over the weekend. The game itself was filled with high-energy hockey, and the atmosphere was everything one could hope for at the minor league level, and more. With the Rockers’ faithful and the Prowlers’ pack, it was an action-packed night at the Big Boy Arena.
Recently, we had the opportunity to chat with Nick Field, the General Manager of the Motor City Rockers, on Woodward Sports own podcast Chompin Puck, where he shared his journey to becoming GM, creating a community within the Rockers, also talked about the team’s push towards the playoffs.
GM Nick Field was asked what fans could anticipate when attending a game for the Motor City Rockers. He responded by stating that regardless of their level of familiarity with hockey. Fans will have an enjoyable experience and leave with the same positive impression, exclaiming that it is a “great experience, a great product, and it’s simply awesome.” Full Interview Below:
